(I swear I feel so negative so often when I write here. I promise I don't mean to sound so!)
I had my gut feelings, and I was right. What son sees in that girl is totally beyond me. She is psychotic. And that isn't just a description, it is an actual diagnosis. She is also bipolar. She is insane. I have, with my own eyes, seen how she treats people who "look at" or (how dare they!!) talk to son. She exudes this air of nicety and sweetness, then if you see her go off.... Dang. And she refuses to take her meds for her diagnoses.
I'm not a mean-spirited person. Far from it. I honestly believe I'm a very nice, compassionate, caring person. But there is seriously something about her that really gets under my skin. She is so negative that she worries me. If she could try to kill his dog, what would keep her from hurting him in some way. If she could (seriously) threaten to poison another of his female friends just for talking to him a couple of times, how little must she think of life? I saw the nasty email she sent to my "adopted daughter". ...a girl who I've known several years. She considers son her "adopted brother." She is ever so sweet, and yet the vile, disgusting things that came from Miss Mental Illness was severe and cruel. Suffice it to say, adopted daughter was seriously disturbed and called me from college to ask what she had done to bring about such wrath. (And I have to say, right from her own mouth, she has admitted sending similar emails to no less -probably more - than 10 other females.)
Any questions as to why I worry? I'm just not seeing the positives here. ...at least not enough to make any time with her worthwhile.
(He does have specific instructions to call the police if she starts freaking out on him.)
And he refuses to listen to reason.
Thanks for listening to my ranting and venting (again!).
On a positive note, I am feeling tons better than last week, and glad to be back at work!
