Question #7
My friend, Deirdre, wants to know...
"Do you prefer drinking from "glass" or "plastic"?"
Hmm.... I suppose it depends on the drink! ;)
Very interesting question, D!! Considering my stepfather worked in a glass factory for over 30 years, and hubby's grandmother worked in one for many years also, I 'd have to say GLASS!!!
:D
But honestly, I do think things taste better in glass. I can't explain it, but given a choice, I'll pick glass everytime!
I am clumsy at times, though, and I've broken many glasses, so I do have to be careful. Plastic shards don't hurt as bad as glass ones do!! HA!
That appears to be all my questions for now. If anyone has more, please feel free to ask away!!!
Thanks to everyone who asked me questions!! I've had fun thinking about them all!

Question #6
"How did you meet your hubby, and how did you know he was "the one"?"
Wow... That IS tough!!!
I met hubby at church when I was 15 years and 10 months old. He had just graduated high school mid-term in Valdez, Alaska, and moved back to Indiana.
He was the nicest, most caring guy I'd ever met. He was sooo sweet! One night I sat crying, very upset about something, and he walked up to see why "a pretty girl cried." He tried to comfort me as best a stranger could do.
He made sure I was okay and had stopped crying before he left me. He talked with me everytime he saw me at church, and called me at home. (I wasn't allowed to date until I was 16, though, so we didn't get to 'go out' until then. Yeah, yeah, yeah.... I'm OLD!! :P)
As far as knowing he was "the one," I can't really put my finger on anything specific. We were just a very good match. We didn't know it then, but our personalities really complimented each others in everyday things. We were both frugal and conscientous, caring and compassionate, and just loved each other very much. Every other person seemed to pale in comparison. We seemed to know fairly early on that we wanted to get married. We were engaged after 9 months, and married 13 months later.
We've had a long and crazy road in this journey together. We've had heartaches and been to hell and back (a couple of times), but also times when our hearts soared and we didn't think we could see the ground. We've had all the vows pressed upon us -- for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and health.... But we've made it this far together, nearly 23 years later. Through it all, though, we've never lost the caring bond that we've shared nearly 25 years since we met. No matter how mad, or bored, or hurt, or lost we may feel, we always have no doubt that this person is the chosen person to be there to help, love, guide, and care for the other. We've always known it.
Don't know if that answered your question, Chrys, but I hope it helped.

Questions #3, #4, & #5...
Question #3
"Would you rather move back to Indiana or move your family to Texas?"
I actually thought this was going to be a rather easy question until I thought about it more. I would love to move back to Indiana to be nearer my family! And yet, I think they might like some of the Texas weather better than northern winters. Most of my family live in Indiana, so moving back there would almost be ideal. Hubby's brother still lives there, too. It's a smaller town than we live in now, though I wouldn't want to live directly in my hometown, but maybe on the outskirts somewhere. I prefer smaller towns to bigger ones.
And yet, my son is here. He doesn't live with us anymore, but he is still here and is an only child. I don't know if he'd consider moving, too.... And I have to say, I love three of the four seasons here. It's beautiful most of the year. The winter is almost perfect for me!
So I guess I'd have to say that I'd still rather be there since I don't think I can even get my family to move here! I'd prefer to take only son with me, too. But if he HAD to stay, I think I'd have a hard time moving.
Hope that answers your question...
Question #4
"What was the hardest thing about being adopted?"
Hmm... I was adopted so young (4 months), that I don't think I had any real problems adjusting. The hardest thing I can think of personally is just not knowing my family history. I also have a brother that is 3-4 years older than I am, and I don't know him at all. That's a little difficult. I was raised as the oldest of four girls, but I am actually someone's "little sister."
Getting a little older now, I don't know about what health problems I may have. I'm learning of a few as I go along, but it would be better if I had a clue about them beforehand.
I always felt very loved and accepted and always like I belonged, so none of that was any trouble at all. I don't think I can ever recall feeling "different" because I was adopted. I was just one of the kids. ...no better, no worse.
So I suppose the hardest part was just the stuff I don't know....
Question #5
"What is your biggest regret? Your biggest triumph?"
(Wait... Isn't that 2 questions?!! ;))
I know it's been said time and time again that people "don't have regrets because I wouldn't be who I am." I sincerely believe it, though. I may have made mistakes in the past, but it has shaped and formed the person I am today. Without those trials and tribulations, I might lose a part of my personality. ...maybe a part that I treasure because of the lessons learned.
Part of the road I've travelled has been hard and laden with heartache. I wouldn't change it, though. It's taught me to be more compassionate and loving and caring. ...to feel for people who may have been in the same situations. To be nonjudgmental and understanding.
As far as my biggest triumph, I'm sure it's along the same lines. My biggest triumph is being where I am right now. Every day is a gift. We can't look back and say "I wish I'd done" this or that. I try to live in such a fashion that if I reached the end of my life today, would I look back and want to change things? I'm not talking about little things like "I wish I'd worked out today." "I wish I'd cleaned house more." Does my family feel loved? Do I do a good job at work? Do I aim to be compassionate and caring? Then what is to regret?
Where are the huge triumphs?
Being the person and personality that I wish to be.
Thanks for the questions, Tina!!
I hoped that answered your questions! If it didn't, feel free to write back!!!

Another question...
Miss Penny asks:
"If could be any animal in the world what would you be and why?"
Why a Unicorn, of course!!!
Oh, sorry, you mean in the real world... ;)
This one is actually tough. I can think of a few animals that it might be fun to be!
A cat is a really good one! ...a little aloof, but mostly loveable. ...a little more independent, but also quite dependent on it's person most of the time.
A horse is another good one. ...strong and majestic. ...tough and smart, yet most of the time, also very loving (depending on the horse, I suppose). On the Chinese calendar, I was born under the sign of the Fire Horse. (I was also born under the sign of the bull (Taurus), but I really don't see myself as being overly tough, bull-headed, or fiercely independent.)
Hmm... I suppose either one of those would work best.
Thanks for the question Penny!!
(P.S. Penny, the color of the caboose is chartreuse!) :D

Number One
I love all the great questions I've received so far!! I suppose we should just start at the beginning....
Question #1
"What are 3 things that you wanted to do in your life but never have had the chance?"
Now this doesn't mean that I won't ever get the chance, but to this point in my life, these are things I would like to do, but haven't yet.
Travel. I would love to visit places like Ireland, England, Australia, and many others. And I don't just mean for a week or two. I would love to just stay and visit and become part of the scenery for a month or two or six! That may be part of the future. We'll have to see....
I would love to work with animals. I don't think I could actually be a full veterinarian (still a little squeamish at times), but I would still love to work with animals. And not just dogs and cats! I love most all animals!
Go back to school. I don't even know for sure what I'd like to do that I'm not already doing! I've always loved psychology and the mind. I enjoy learning about people and their brains and why they do what they do. I also wouldn't mind studying the origins of the different religions. I suppose those two subjects could go hand in hand with some ancient religions. Both topics are very interesting to me.
Thanks for the question Harmonia!

Just ask....
Ask me a question -- any question -- and I'll try to answer it to the best of my ability. It can be personal, in general, or (as she says) totally out there crazy!!
